چکیده
Anthropogenic toxic vapour and gases are a worldwide threat for human health to the environment. Therefore, it is crucial develop highly sensitive devices that guarantee their rapid detection. Here, we prepared redox-switchable colloids by in-situ reduction of 2,3,5-triphenyl-2H-tetrazolium (TTC) into triphenyl formazan (TF) stabilised with Pluronic F127 in aqueous media. The were readily embedded polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) produce selective colour-switchable membrane nitrogen dioxide (NO2) We found TTC resulted production red-coloured zeta potential between −1 3 mV hydrodynamic diameters 114 305 nm as hydrophobic dispersion media at different molar concentrations. Moreover, rendered homogenous red colour gas-permeable PDMS elastomeric membrane. Once exposed NO2, began bleach after 30 s due oxidation TF undergo complete decolouration 180 s. Such features allowed integration low-cost sensing device showed high sensitivity low detection limit NO2.

Hydrophobic-functionalized ZIF-8 nanoparticles incorporated PDMS membranes for high-selective separation of propane/nitrogen
It is still a great challenge to prepare high performance mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) because of the difficulty in finely tuning the compatibility between filler and organic phases. In this work, ZIF-8 nanoparticles hydrophobically functionalized by 5, 6-dimethylbenzimidazole (DMBIM) via shell ligand exchange (SLE) reaction were incorporated into polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) matrix to fabricat...
متن کاملComparison of new optical sensor based on triazene ligand immobilized on PVC and triacetylcellulose membranes for Hg (II) Ion
For spectrophotometric analysis of Hg (II) ions, we have used and compared two membranes preparation methods using different polymer; one is poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) and the other is triacetylcellulose (TAC). In the case of TAC membrane, it was treated with a ligand solution (1.166 × 10-3 mole L-1) in ethylenediamine at the ambient temperature for almost 2-5 min. However, in the case of PVC m...
متن کاملOptical pH Sensor Based on Quinizarin for Alkaline pH Regions
The development of an optical pH sensor based on immobilization of quinizarin (1,4-dihydroxyanthraquinone) on a triacetylcellulose membrane was described. The resulting membrane exhibited fast color change from yellow to violet, while changing the pH in alkaline region. The immobilized quinizarin showed a broader dynamic range from (pH 9.4-11.4) with respect to free form (pH 8.8-10.4). The sens...
متن کاملInvestigation of Behavior and Trend of Nitrogen Dioxide in Tehran Using OMI Satellite Sensor Measurements
Air pollution is one of the most important problems in the world’s major cities in the last century because it endangers human health and the environment. One of the indicators of air pollution is nitrogen dioxide, which is continuously measured by satellite from space and via ground-based instruments. In this paper, the data for nitrogen dioxide was measured by OMI over Tehran. Wind, surface t...
متن کاملOptical Sensor-Based Algorithm for Crop Nitrogen Fertilization*
Nitrogen (N) fertilization for cereal crop production does not follow any kind of generalized methodology that guarantees maximum nitrogen use efficiency (NUE). The objective of this work was to amalgamate some of the current concepts for N management in cereal production into an applied algorithm. This work at Oklahoma State University from 1992 to present has focused primarily on the use of o...
